The Power Five conference nobody cares about before 10 pm ET decided it should play football this fall.
After getting nudged by their big brothers in the Big Ten, the conference voted Thursday afternoon to return to action the weekend of Nov. 6. The Pac-12 championship game is slated for Dec. 18, giving its member schools seven games to prove to the College Football Playoff committee that they are worthy of consideration (good luck).
If you’d like to hear the reason why the league is now deciding to return to action from the biggest bozo in the Power Five, Larry Scott, here’s a carefully curated quote from his PR team:
“From the beginning of this crisis, our focus has been on following the science, data and counsel of our public health and infectious disease experts,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott.
