Kentucky’s in-state football recruiting momentum stalled in the land of smoked mutton. Owensboro High School’s Gavin Wimsatt, one of the highest-ranked quarterbacks to call the Commonwealth home in years, announced that he will be leaving the state to attend Rutgers.

Recruited by Vince Marrow, the Wildcats went all in on the duel-threat passer, ranked by 247 Sports as the No. 91 player in America. Kentucky was one of the first schools to extend a scholarship offer.
