In recent years the G League has become a more popular destination for top high school recruits, poaching a few top-ranked recruits like Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga and Jaden Hardy. The pool of players opting to go pro may grow now that the G League has some new competition from Overtime.
The high school basketball highlight maker announced this spring the creation of the Overtime Elite basketball league. Like the G League, Overtime Elite will allow players to make up to six figures to bypass college, likely then sending them overseas, to the G League, or in some cases, the NBA Draft.
