When you’re the unanimous Player of the Year in college basketball, you get special treatment when it’s your turn to announce your intentions for the next phase of your playing career. In Oscar Tshiebwe’s case, ESPN cut into daytime SportsCenter for Tshiebwe to announce his return to Kentucky live on national television Wednesday afternoon. Ratings for that one o’clock hour were probably sky high.
But Oscar still had his own announcement video dialed up for his Twitter followers and he hit publish on the tweet the moment his SportsCenter interview ended. It’s so good, I wish he would’ve released the video first to publicly announce his return.
