Oscar Tshiebwe now has the most rebounds in a single season in the modern era of Kentucky Basketball. With 16 boards in the 71-66 win over LSU, Oscar passed Anthony Davis and Julius Randle on Kentucky’s all-time list. He is now fifth with 427 rebounds in only 28 games. That’s the most in 67 years.
Oscar needs 141 rebounds to break Bill Spivey’s record. If the Cats make it to the national championship, that means he needs to average 11.75 per game. Easy peasy.
10th-straight double-double, 22nd overall
Oscar also had 17 points in the victory, making this his tenth straight double-double.
