Award Season is here, and even though Oscar Tshiebwe won’t win any national player of the year trophies this go around, he’s still in line for some accolades. This morning, Oscar was named Third Team All-American by The Sporting News, making him Kentucky’s first two-time All-American since Tayshaun Prince (2001, 2002). Last year, Oscar was a consensus First-Team All-American and National Player of the Year.
Oscar leads Kentucky in scoring (16.4) and rebounding (13.1) for the second straight season. He is the only player in the country averaging at least 15.
