Oscar Tshiebwe is Kentucky's 21st Consensus First Team All-American

Oscar Tshiebwe is in elite company. Thursday morning he became the 21st Consensus First Team All-American in Kentucky basketball history when the US Basketball Writers Association became the fourth outlet to name him to their All-American Team.

Kentucky’s last Consensus First Team All-American was Tyler Ulis in 2016. Twelve players have earned All-American honors in the Calipari era, but Tshiebwe is just the fifth player to earn the “consensus” distinction.

Tshiebwe was joined on the USBWA’s All-American Team by Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis, Kansas’ Ochai Agbaji, Illinois’ Kofi Cockburn and Iowa’s Keegan Murray.
