This year’s Wildcats sure don’t make life easy on the Big Blue Nation, do they?
On Wednesday night in Gainesville, Kentucky (19-9; 10-5 SEC) snuck out a closer-than-expected 82-74 victory over Florida (14-14; 7-8 SEC), fending off the Gators’ many comeback attempts. Despite UK leading by as many as 15 points in the first half, Florida held a slight lead at the intermission. But the ‘Cats, powered by 25 points from Oscar Tshiebwe, found a way to tough out the win down the stretch.
Tshiebwe added four rebounds and three assists to his stat line on 12-13 shooting, surpassing the 1,000-point mark during his Kentucky career in the process.
