Clemson first got a foothold in the state when Walker Parks, a four-star 2020 prospect and top ten offensive tackle in the country, committed to the defending National Champs. Earlier this week, Parks brought a few of his Frederick Douglass friends with him to South Carolina.
Wide receiver Dekel Crowdus and offensive guard Jager Burton were the two biggest 2021 Kentucky prospects on the trip. Following the camp, Burton picked up an offer from Clemson.
Burton is the 11th-ranked offensive guard in the 2021 class according to 247 Sports. Incredibly mobile for a 6’4″ 275-pound lineman, when he pulls down the line of scrimmage or breaks downfield on a screen, Burton is burying opponents in the turf.
