LEXINGTON – John Calipari’s philosophy is simple.
Team improvement comes from individual improvement. To get his Kentucky basketball teams to peak in time for the NCAA Tournament each year, he tries to get each rotation player to be the best version of himself by March.
That strategy appears to be working again.
Kentucky’s big four – Nick Richards, Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley and Tyrese Maxey – are productive more often than not. The other four role players in the rotation – EJ Montgomery, Nate Sestina, Keion Brooks and Johnny Juzang – have made strides in recent weeks to varying degrees.
