Recruiting is the name of the game in college football.
In Lexington, Mark Stoops and his program are constantly closing the gap while chasing the elites in the SEC. Recruiting is the lifeblood of every program in the sport’s best conference, and winning on signing day gives you the best chance to score more points than the competition on Saturdays in the fall. Kentucky must always be a developmental program, but the Wildcats are also looking for clear, top-shelf talents on the recruiting trail.
“I don’t look at it as the recruiting class makes it or breaks it, but I do look at it as maybe there’s a game-changing few players who can take you to another level, and we have to get some of those,” Stoops told The Athletic.
