After knocking off Western Kentucky, Iowa State, Indiana, Baylor and Louisville on the road to the title, the Wildcats closed out the run with a 67-59 victory over Kansas to win the championship.
Doron Lamb led the way with 22 points on 7-12 shooting and 3-6 from three to go with three assists and two rebounds. Marquis Teague added 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-3 3PT), followed by Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with 11 points (4-7 FG) to round out double-digit scorers.
