Olivier Sarr, his coaches, teammates and fans are still anxiously awaiting the NCAA’s decision on Sarr’s immediate eligibility at Kentucky. There have been approximately 742 similar cases already decided this offseason, but the transfer from Wake Forest is still sitting by the phone for a verdict while getting ready for the season in Lexington.
At this point, it is anyone’s guess as to when that decision might come. Trying to understand the NCAA’s timeline for decision-making is a game we’ve played too many times before, and you’ll get burned every time. However, Adam Zagoria, in a reply to Dick Vitale’s Twitter rant on Sarr and the NCAA, said a source told him, “Delays are typically due to a lack of timely document production.
