I just settled in here at The Pavilion, Ole Miss’ new $96.5 million new basketball arena, and, if you’ve been to the “Tad Pad,” Ole Miss’ old arena, you will appreciate this story. John Calipari often joked that he saw squirrels and mice at the Tad Pad, which showed its age, to put it nicely, and so, upon today’s arrival to the arena, he found a note from “The Tad Pad Squirrels” thanking him for helping Ole Miss get a new arena.
“The last time you played here, the Tad Pad was still in operation but had seen better days,” the note read.
