No. 22 Kentucky women’s soccer (10-3-4, 2-3-4 SEC) fell to No. 6 Mississippi State (14-1, 8-0 SEC) by a score of 1-0.
The Cats’ offense started cold as they failed to register a single shot in the first half of the match.
Mississippi State took advantage of the slow start with a goal in the 25th minute by freshman, Kennedy Husbands to take a 1-0 lead. This lead would remain for the rest of the half.
The Cats’ defense was solid in the second half as Mississippi State failed to extend its lead for the remainder of the game.
