Less than three weeks ago, Kentucky women's basketball suffered its worst offensive performance of the season in a 70-53 loss to Tennessee in Knoxville.
A much different UK team showed up in Thursday night's game at Rupp Arena, and beat visiting Tennessee 71-56.
UT was short a player as star senior forward Rennia Davis did not travel with the team, in compliance with COVID-19 protocols, per Tennessee. Davis had 15 points and 20 rebounds in the last matchup with the Wildcats.
Kentucky took care of business improving to 14-5 and 7-4 in SEC play.
UK turned up the pressure in the first half, forcing 10 turnovers and the Wildcats took a 37-26 halftime lead.
