NFL Cats go to the White House to raise awareness for Diabetes

Yesterday, Avery Williamson, Jacob Tamme, Za’Darius Smith, and Ricky Lumpkin went to the White House on behalf of Team Tackle, an initiative that brings professional football players together with the American Diabetes Association to draw attention to diabetes, one of our country’s leading chronic health issues. The former Cats were four of 45 NFL players to make the trip, which also included a trip to Capitol Hill.

Here’s another pic of Tamme and Za’Darius, along with Aaron Murray, Dont’a Hightower, Geno Atkins and others:

We know that Williamson is with the Titans, Tamme the Falcons, and Za’Darius the Ravens, but it was nice to get an update on Lumpkin, who’s currently with the Colts.
