LEXINGTON - After four picks from the defensive side of the ball, the Kentucky football offense has produced its first selection in the 2021 NFL draft.
The New Orleans Saints selected UK offensive lineman Landon Young with a pick in the sixth round (No. 206 overall) of the draft Saturday. He follows UK defenders Jamin Davis (Washington, 1st), Kelvin Joseph (Dallas, 2nd), Quinton Bohanna (Dallas, 6th) and Brandin Echols (New York Jets, 6th) in being drafted.
Young appeared in 48 games for Kentucky across five years. He started the final 24 games of his collegiate career at left tackle.
