The NCAA has never been kind to Sydney Moss.
The 2012 Miss Basketball from Boone County High School and daughter of former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss, Sydney signed to play with the University of Florida out of high school. After a year in Gainesville, Moss grew homesick. She wished to transfer to the University of Kentucky, but Florida’s coach blocked the transfer. Moss’ next best option was Thomas More College, only a few miles from where she grew up in Northern Kentucky.
Moss would have been a superstar at UK. Instead, NCAA rules allow for coaches to restrict where student-athletes can transfer.
