It's officially time to start National Player of the Year (NPOY) buzz. Here at ASoB, we are offering you the opportunity to make the call, and will continue to do so monthly, and then biweekly, as the season progresses.
Each post will utilize different interrelated cultural identifiers to refer to the candidates, which is a lot more fun than "Player A, B, C...," etc. There is no intentional correlation between the identifier and the player.
If you recall, I made a similar numbers-only proposition last February, in a popular and well-visited Quickies post. I've tweaked the process -- I'm still using per 40s and advanced numbers, but I've subtracted win shares.
