Nate Oats had made it clear he’s not afraid to call out any coach in college basketball.
Back in 2018 when the Kentucky Wildcats were set to play Oats’ Buffalo team in the NCAA Tournament, the now-Alabama coach called out John Calipari for “whining” too much about having a young team (imagine that). Kentucky went on to win that game 95-75.
“Calipari’s been whining about no experience — young, young, young. Well, we don’t have that problem. We got some veteran guys.”
