Like everyone expected, former Kentucky Basketball reserve Mychal Mulder is in the NBA in 2021-22, almost five years removed from his final season at Kentucky.
A Golden State Warrior last year, Mulder was waived in the preseason upon the return of Klay Thompson–whose father, former Lakers center Mychal Thompson, was the inspiration behind Mulder’s first name–in a surprising move given how well Mulder played in 2020-21. He hit nearly 40 percent (.397) of his 3-point tries in 60 games played.
The Orlando Magic noticed Mulder’s hot shooting for the Warriors a year ago and then his new free agent status out of training camp this fall.
