Before becoming NBA World Champions, Denver stars Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic were teammates at the 2014 edition of the Nike Hoop Summit, the under-19 summer showcase for American and international basketball prospects. Much-younger versions of Murray and Jokic teamed up for the 2014 World Team along with two more familiar University of Kentucky faces in Karl-Anthony Towns and Trey Lyles.

Back in 2014, Murray and Jokic were on the other end of the scoreboard as the young international stars lost in the Nike Hoop Summit exhibition, 84-73, to a USA Team with another former Wildcat, Reid Travis, and several Duke stars in Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, and Justice Winslow.
