Luke Fortner returned for his super senior season in 2021 for a chance to play center in the new pro-style scheme Liam Coen was bringing to Kentucky. The shift could not have gone any better.
Fortner went on to start all 13 games for the Wildcats at center after starting at right guard in both 2019 and 2020. The veteran was one of the best centers in college football who received All-SEC honors and was the linchpin of the Big Blue Wall as the entire offense went through a scheme transition.
That transition turned Fortner into a bonafide NFL Draft prospect.
