Producers behind a new movie about Middlesboro’s 1954 Little League team have picked a location for the upcoming film.
According to WPSD, Paducah will be the site of a two-month shoot for “This Field Looks Green To Me,” the story of Middlesboro’s 1954 Little League championship and its significance in the integration of baseball throughout the South. The story will be told through one of the three Black players on the team, a 12-year-old who helped break the color barrier in one of the first desegregated Little Leagues. The Middlesboro community united in support of their youth’s baseball integration.
