You’ve heard about him all week, but here’s a little more. The 18 field goals he knocked down on Saturday vs. Vermont tied Oklahoma State’s Jawun Evans for the most in Division I this season. His 23-rebound game against UMBC earlier this month were the second-most in Division I this season.
He will finish his career leading in most of Stony Brook’s statistical categories. He’s the all-time leader in points (2,109), rebounds (1,260), blocks (274) and games played (134) regardless of division.
Warney Doesn’t Do It All By Himself
Warney may have averaged 30 points a game during the conference tournament, but senior point guard Carson Puriefoy was not far behind, scoring 20 points per game through the three game.
