The 2020-2021 Kentucky basketball season began with the then-No. 10 Wildcats defeating the Morehead State Eagles by a score of 81-45. ‘Twas Kentucky native Preston Spradlin going up against Kentucky’s idol John Calipari. While the opening game to the season ended poorly for the Eagles, the tides between the two teams were quickly turned.
Kentucky went on to lose their next six games and played basketball for nearly two more months before even scoring more than 81 points in a game. Now, as the regular season has concluded, it’s the Eagles who have booked their trip to the Big Dance.
