A group of the Bluegrass State’s most legendary sports figures will soon be forever immortalized in the history books.
On Thursday, it was announced by the Louisville Sports Commission that four local icons would be inducted into the 2022 Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame (KSHOF). University of Kentucky athletic director Mitch Barnhart headlines the group, which also includes one of UK’s women’s basketball pioneers, Sue Feamster.
Barnhart has been the UK AD since 2002 and has led the program to an impressive amount of success during his two decades. He has overseen national championships in men’s basketball, volleyball, and rifle along with several conference titles.
