Sources have informed KSR that junior running back Mikel Horton will transfer from Kentucky.
Horton rushed for 624 yards and five touchdowns in his first two seasons as the Cats’ power back, but he only has 3 carries for 12 yards in 2016. The role of power back has changed from Horton to true freshman Benny Snell this season. Horton was not happy at the end of the New Mexico State game after seeing Snell score four touchdowns.
A West Chester, Oh. native, Horton was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2014 out of Lakota West High School.
