Hey ESPN, you gotta get rid of your boys. Never in my life have I heard such awful, unprepared, completely false commentary 0n a sports broadcast. Mike Patrick and Ed Cunningham should’ve been fired an hour ago for ruining what has been a pretty good game so far. Just put their names in a Twitter search to see all of the complaints from fans.
Some of my favorites from the first half…
— Cunningham confusing Benny Snell/Boom Williams for Stephen Johnson multiple times out of the Wildcat
— Calling the game a “cross-town rivalry”
— Saying “this game’s not over” with a 14-14 score
— “James Quick, from right here in Lexington”
— “Drew Baker”
— “Marcellus McWilson”
— Cunningham’s dismissal of several obvious penalties, my favorite being “he got there early but that’s okay” on the no pass interference call
— “That looked like a five-yard penalty but we don’t have those anymore”
— “Kentucky has a run-based run game”
— “He really didn’t hit him” after Charles Walker got hit
