Mike Leach’s offense didn’t score for the first time in 232 career games

Mike Leach is one of the better offensive minds that college football has ever seen. Leach’s teams have always been able to fill up the scoreboard through his air raid passing attack, which took the sport by storm when Leach was an offensive coordinator under Hal Mumme at Kentucky, of all places. Since his short stint as a coordinator in Lexington, Leach found success as the head coach at Texas Tech and then Washington State, and now he is teaching his passing ways in Starkville.

In Leach’s debut with the Bulldogs earlier this season, his quarterback, KJ Costello, threw for a record 623 yards and five touchdowns in an upset of defending champion LSU.
