On Wednesday, John Calipari made headlines when he announced that all of his players that are eligible for the NBA Draft will declare, his way of having a little fun with the NCAA’s new draft declaration guidelines. The NCAA moved the withdrawal date for the draft back to May 25, ten days after the NBA Draft Combine, so that players can get better feedback before deciding whether to stay in the draft or return to school. Players can also go through that process each year without risking their eligibility. It’s one of the better moves the NCAA has made, and in true Cal fashion, he applauded it in the only way he knows how.
