We are technically beyond the halfway point in the season now, but with no Kentucky basketball game today I figured I would take a look around the Southeastern Conference and handout some awards. Typically the league would be considered “down” if Kentucky was just in the middle of the pack. However, with Alabama as a legitimate Top 10 team (despite losing to Oklahoma today) along with Missouri and Tennessee spending most of the season in the Top 20 it is clear that teams not named Kentucky have raised their level of play from past seasons.
There are several marquee Big 12/SEC Challenge matchups taking place as I write this article, so if anything crazy happens today it may not be reflected in the awards I’m about to hand out.
