Michigan guard DeVante’ Jones withdraws from NBA Draft

With the NCAA’s NBA Draft withdrawal deadline coming up on Wednesday, it’s decision time for several college basketball players testing the waters. This morning, DeVante’ Jones, the Coastal Carolina star who transferred to Michigan in May, announced he is taking his name out of the draft for one more season of college hoops.

“I decided to withdraw from the NBA draft because there’s a stigma of the level I played at my three years at Coastal Carolina University,” Jones told ESPN. “Being able to transition to the Big Ten and play under Juwan Howard will be the perfect opportunity for me to showcase my abilities on a higher stage.
