Last week, Miami (OH) guard transfer Nike Sibande told reporters that Kentucky was one of many schools that had reached out to him, a rather surprising development.
Not necessarily because of Sibande’s talent – the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 13.9 points on 44% shooting to go with 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 28.8 minutes per game last season – but because of the timing and long-term effect it would have on the roster.
With Kentucky in desperate need of another piece or two in the frontcourt, why focus on a guard at this point in time with Davion Mintz, Devin Askew, BJ Boston, and Terrence Clarke already on the roster?
