This afternoon, the University of Memphis student newspaper – The Daily Helmsman – published an article written by an individual named Lucas Finton claiming Kentucky head coach John Calipari is to blame for the NCAA’s investigation into James Wiseman, which ultimately led to the school ruling the former five-star recruit ineligible this morning.
And boy, oh boy, is it a good one.
The article’s title? “Did Cal screw Memphis… again? College-Athletics Attorney says Kentucky had motive to start Wiseman controversy.”
Certainly no animosity or bitterness toward the former Memphis head coach there.
The first line?
