Head coach Mark Stoops after his team beats Louisville to end their regular season play 9-3. Louisville Courier Journal
LEXINGTON, Ky. — A strong finish to the regular season has all but locked up the Kentucky starting quarterback job for sophomore Terry Wilson heading into the 2019 season.
Beyond Wilson, though, questions dominate the UK quarterback depth chart.
Redshirt freshman Danny Clark, UK’s No. 3 quarterback all season, announced he was transferring this week. Backup Gunnar Hoak, a third-year sophomore, is on track to graduate in the spring and seems likely to have options to play immediately at another FBS program next season as a graduate transfer if he feels Wilson’s hold on the job is too secure to overcome after spring practice.
