Back when fame was still finding him, Ken Pomeroy remembers “living a double-life for a while.” The Utah meteorologist hadn’t even told his closest friends about his labor of love, much less his co-workers.
But then there was the day he showed up to work and found a newspaper article. It was about him, and it had been left in a common area at his office, courtesy of someone who’d encountered a knowing basketball fan at a party.
“I was like, ‘Oh no, I’ve been outed,’” Pomeroy said with a laugh. “… From that point on, everybody knew what I did, which was fine.
