Lynn Bowden was the star of the night, but Max Duffy’s nearly-flawless performance in Kentucky’s 22-7 victory over Missouri can’t go unnoticed or under appreciated. The Aussie punted the ball five times for an impressive 262 yards, good for an average of 52.4 yards per punt. One of which, of course, was the 70-yard bomb out of Kentucky’s end zone. It was the longest punt of his career, and it was the longest punt by a UK player since Ryan Tydlacka’s 73-yarder against Ole Miss in 2010.
But for Duffy, it was simply redemption.
“I was a little bit disappointed last week that I had a bad kick in the rain,” Duffy said after Saturday’s win.
