It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new in the FBI’s investigation into college basketball, but this morning, the University of Maryland confirmed it received two subpoenas regarding assistant coach Orlando Ranson and an unnamed player’s relationship with agent Christian Dawkins, one of the central figures in the investigation.
InsideMDSports is reporting that unnamed player is Diamond Stone, a one-time Kentucky recruit, who reportedly received more than $14,000 from agent Andy Miller, whom Dawkins worked for as a runner. The second subpoena requested any records pertaining to Silvio De Sousa, a recruit that many believed was headed to Maryland, an Under Armour school, but ended up at Kansas, an adidas school that’s already been named in the investigation.
