Ready for an update on one of your favorite former Cats? Marquis Estill just joined the coaching staff at Georgetown College. Estill played at UK under Tubby Smith from 2000 to 2003, during which time Chris Briggs, the current Georgetown head coach, was a student assistant. Briggs announced this morning that he’s bringing his old friend on board with him at Georgetown, along with former Transylvania player and assistant coach Barrett Meyer.

While at UK, Estill averaged 9.3 points and still holds the record for best career field goal shooting percentage at 60.13%. After playing overseas for several years, he returned to UK in 2012 to finish his degree, and while doing so, served as an undergraduate assistant coach under John Calipari.
