A future Pro Football Hall of Famer was in the Rupp Arena stands for today’s Kentucky-Virginia Tech game, along with 24 UK football official visitors.
For Mark Stoops’ biggest recruiting weekend of the year, he invited one of his most successful former players to Lexington, Ed Reed. Stoops was Reed’s position coach at The U before the Ball-Hawk terrorized NFL quarterbacks for more than a decade.
That wasn’t the only thing Stoops’ staff did to impress the recruits in the stands. Benny Snell, Mike Edwards, Lynn Bowden, Courtney Love and C.J. Conrad were introduced to the Rupp Arena crowd.
