Mark Stoops is grateful that Kentucky’s administration stepped up to the plate to keep Vince Marrow in Lexington. There are a few things he would have liked to change about how it all unfolded.
“First of all, it was played out too much in the media,” Kentucky’s head coach said with a smirk Monday afternoon. “Those are things that we need to handle. I have so much appreciation and gratitude to our administration, first and foremost, of giving me the ability. I’ve said that all along, that it takes great resources when you have good things in place, whether it’s facilities and the investment we made there or it’s in people, in retaining people.
