Saturday, the Wildcats secured a bowl-bid with a 50-7 win over the UT-Martin Skyhawks at a rainy Kroger Field.
Despite some sloppy play that included a muffed punt and a boneheaded interception by Lynn Bowden, the Wildcats never allowed the game to be close after a pair of bad snaps from UT-Martin on their first two possessions helped the Wildcats take an early 9-0 lead that grew to 29 by halftime.
Plenty of young players got a taste of action, and Kentucky was able to provide some much-needed rest for their starters thanks to their ability to put the game away early.
