Mark Stoops and Wildcats recap Georgia, plus postgame notes

The Kentucky Wildcats tried to ride the momentum of it’s miracle comeback against Missouri last week into Saturday’s contest with the No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs. But, the Wildcats were outmatched and fell to the Dawgs 34-17.

It had been hyped all week as the SEC East Championship game. The stage was set for the Cats to make history, but it was not to be, as for the first time all season the Wildcats defense allowed more than 20 points.

Kentucky fell behind early after a 65-yard punt return by Georgia’s Mecole Hardman set up the Bulldogs on the doorstep of the redzone.
