Kentucky football and Keeneland have a lot in common. For starters, they’re both better with a lot of bourbon. They make for great Saturdays in the fall. They’ve also cost me a lot of money. The list goes on.

The two Lexington traditions have teamed up recently and formed a much closer bond, with the football team embracing horse racing as part of its identity. The team’s intro video in 2015 had a horse racing theme, so do the new uniforms, and now you can find “The Keeneland Paddock” in Commonwealth Stadium.
