Looking for a way to kill time before tonight’s Nike Hoop Summit? Malik Monk is one of five players up for the Jerry West Award, given annually to the best shooting guard in college basketball. The award will be handed out tonight at the College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles, and you can see if Malik wins it for yourself on ESPN2 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Also up for the award: Bryce Alford (UCLA), Marcus Foster (Creighton), Peter Jok (Iowa) and Luke Kennard (Duke). According to social media and some pictures we’ve received, Monk is in LA right now, so I’d say there’s a pretty good chance he wins…
