It looks like Malik Monk will be fine after all.
The former Kentucky Wildcats guard suffered what was believed to be a broken thumb last week while playing with the Hornets in the NBA Summer League. However, the team has now announced that it wasn’t a fracture, and Monk is now considered day to day for the rest of the Summer League.
The original injury was believed to be bad enough to sideline him for 6-8 weeks. Even though there’s now a chance Monk could play in the Summer League, the Hornets would be smart to shut him down and not risk further injury.
