2020 five-star center Makur Maker is currently in the process of deciding whether to keep his name in the NBA Draft or go the college route. If he moves forward with the latter, the near-seven-footer is considering Auburn, Kentucky, Oregon, and UCLA.
This week, college basketball insider Jon Rothstein broke the news that Kentucky and UCLA were the co-favorites in Maker’s recruitment, with Maker’s guardian, Ed Smith, confirming that report to KSR.
In a recent interview with Maker himself, though, the 6-foot-11 center told L.A. Times writer Ben Bolch that UCLA is leading in his recruitment among potential colleges.
