Mac McClung will wear his third different college uniform in as many years next season if he returns to school as expected.
After two years at Georgetown and one year at Texas Tech, McClung has again entered the NCAA Transfer Portal while also testing the NBA Draft waters. His decision comes after Red Raiders head coach Chris Beard left the school to return to his alma mater of Texas.
Another reason why McClung was ready to leave Lubbock is that he wants to find a school that will get him NBA ready.
“What we saw at Texas Tech, there’s a fit,” McClung’s high school coach Scott Vermillion told Kentucky Sports Radio last week.
